Job Title : Insurance Financial Systems QA Analyst
The ideal candidate for role must have deep insurance knowledge especially when it comes to flows in the insurance accounting.
The role is more of a Systems Analyst , but there is a need for QA skills & Knowledge as well as UAT, strong SQL,Excellent Communication and must understand insurance accounting and work flows.
Location : Cincinnati, Ohio
Type : Contract- to hire must be eligiblefor hire without sponsorship
Work setting : Fully Remote
Duration : Long-term with potential for extension or permeant hire
Company Overview : Accelerant is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in insurance and reinsurance solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Systems QA Analyst to join our team and contribute to our suite of MVP products.
Role Summary : The Insurance Systems QA Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance aspects of our technical insurance accounting systems.
This role requires a deep understanding of insurance, agency, brokerage, and reinsurance operations, combined with robust technical accounting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the MVP suite, ensuring multiple products integrate seamlessly.
- Handle a data pipeline from MGAs, ensuring accurate data flow into the insurance accounting ledger and regulatory reports.
- Lead UAT efforts, coordinating closely with the business to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Address technical debt and contribute to the rollout of new system features and expansions.
- Drive the effort around assembling UAT testing for the business, with a focus on the technical aspects rather than user stories and ADO.
- Write SQL queries and adapt to new systems, including learning how to book re-insurance transactions.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry.
- Strong background in financial systems and accounting analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Power BI reporting.
- Experience with system implementations, claims, or underwriting systems.
- Ability to manage business projects and lead technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
