At that time it all has started. The foundation stone of the porcelain factory has been laid in the town of Karlovy Vary. One of the currently largest porcelain factories in the Czech Republic focused mainly on the production of hotel porcelain.

As the time went by, the porcelain factory found skilful colleagues - allies in Austria and Switzerland. Therefore today, with Lilien Austria and Suisse Langenthal, we create the “G. Benedikt Group ”. Although from different countries, we all have one thing in common: extremely durable porcelain, which is not necessary to deal with in gloves.

1.In tradition we trust
The roots are important for us. The long history of the full determination, hard work, difficult decisions and fulfilled dreams. We are happy we can keep producing. And we are also proud that the traditional regional company from the heart of Europe is able to break through all over the world.

2.We protect nature around us
We do care about the world we are lining in. We do not produce products for one use but the porcelain in high quality which can bring pleasure and benefits for several generations. Systematically and successfully we have been decreasing the emissions from the production, also due to high speed firing kilns.

We know how hard is to be a rookie. The mistakes move us all forward just as the constructive criticism. We can appreciate the responsibility, reliability and straight practices. A team spirit is not a cliché for us but the cornerstone of our company.

We are listening very carefully. We do not stop searching for ideal solutions, new possibilities, answers even for the hardest challenges. We have the ability to adapt ourselves. We guarantee an extraordinary fast reaction in any situation. We know very well how important the good service is.

We have been driven by the passion to discover and to improve. We invest to the new technologies, automation, robots. But we never underestimate the power of the human mind and the skill of humans´ hands. This is the only way how we can be a company determining new trends.

Brief description of the project: installation of a photovoltaic power plant with an output of 819.825 kWp on the premises of the production plant at 1. máje 30/32, 360 06 Karlovy Vary– Dvory with the aim of using renewable sources to optimise the provision of electricity for business operations.

The aim of the project is to replace the existing technology - the compressor station, which has a relatively high electricity consumption. For this reason, it is necessary to replace this technology with a new one, which will result in more efficient operation and significant energy savings

FIRST STEPS

G. Benedikt’s history has begun in 1882, when the Benedict brothers established a porcelain factory in Dvory, which was named "Gebrüder Benedikt" in honor of its founders.

A NEW DIRECTION

In 1968 the Princip collection has been born. A collection, which stood on the beginning of a new age of the porcelain factory of G. Benedikt - production of hotel porcelain. The Princip collection was developed according to the design of Mr. L. Švec and has been in the production up today.

A BIG CHANGE IN THE 1990s

After the Velvet Revolution G. Benedikt (at that time called Hotel Porcelain Karlovy Vary) found himself at a crossroads. In 1992 the porcelain factory became a member of the Swiss group Keramik Holding AG Laufen.

EXPANSION OF PRODUCTION

Five years later, there was another big step for the factory: G. Benedikt merged with other two world-famous porcelain factories - Lilien in Austria and Langenthal in Switzerland.

RETURN TO THE ROOTS

In 2002, G. Benedikt returns to Czech hands. The porcelain factory was bought by Polyflex and since then has been headed by Marek Stanzel. Since 2009 together with Pavel Janák.

STYLE LADY BY ESS KLASSE

Time goes on inexorably. And with it the new trends in gastronomy. In 2010, not only the chefs are dazzled by the porcelain beauty called Ess Klasse, designed for fine dining. It sets up a high bar, which G. Benedict is able to maintain – and even to overcome.

FIRST COLOR GLAZE

The Country Range collection proves that porcelain does not have to be just white and that almost nothing is impossible. For mastering the production of color glaze on an industrial benchmark, G. Benedikt can claim the first place in Europe.

GRANITE INPIRATION

The Granit collection, which shined at several world fairs, is the latest novelty of G. Benedikt. A collection indistinguishable from a real granite. As you can see, there is still much to discover. The story of G. Benedikt is far from over…

G. Benedikt company has been producing it in its home country for 140 years, professionally with 100% devotion and love. From thoroughly selected local raw materials of the Czech origin. There is a choice from 13 collections and several patterns.

Suisse Langenthal

Switzerland is not just watches and chocolate. The quality of the local porcelain is also famous as the fame of Suisse Langenthal proves. Porcelain factory, famous mainly for the original decors of “Bopla”, was founded in 1906. And since 2003 it has been part of the G. Benedikt Group

Lilien Austria

Although the name Lilien first appeared just before 1960, the history of porcelain production in Wilhelmsburg, Lower Austria, has much deeper roots. Today the most popular collections with the Lilien logo include speckled Lifestyle, minimalist Pureline and brightly colored Daisy.
